Job Summary

Software Engineer, Medical Imaging M/F

As part of the development of our R&D activities, the Software Engineer – Medical Imaging will play a key role in the design and development of the advanced medical image viewing and processing application software in the scope of a robotized platform. He/she will work closely with the other Engineering team members to design, implement and test software solutions based on clinical, user and safety requirements.

The candidate should have demonstrated experience with product development in an industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Work with software, system & clinical engineers to develop a robust and reliable application software and user interface for medical imaging applications
  • Integrate algorithm to process medical images, preferable Ultrasound related
  • Create the design and the architecture of ultrasound project and develop features
  • Create specifications and requirements based on design inputs
  • Design and implement C++ applications and HTML5/JS/CSS user interfaces
  • Perform testing and validation of selected solutions
  • Participate in design discussions and code review
  • Raise observed defects through the Quality Management System and support analysis and treatment of software bugs


  • You have a MS or a PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
  • You have 5+ years of experience in developing industrial medical imaging processing and diagnostic review software
  • You have experience in PACS systems and knowledge of DICOM and other related medical imaging standards and protocols
  • You have experience with medical imaging modalities (mainly in US, but CT, MRI)
  • You have strong object-oriented programming skills
  • You are familiar with unit testing and SW verification and validation
  • You are familiar with design controls process in a CE/FDA regulated environment
  • You are familiar with Agile software development methodology
  • You have excellent communication and documentation skills
  • You are self-motivated, curious and open-minded
