SIR 2022 will be held in Boston, MA, from 11-16 June 2022
The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Annual Scientific Meeting is the world’s largest gathering of interventional radiologists. SIR is a nonprofit, professional medical society representing more than 8,000 practicing interventional radiology physicians, trainees, medical students, scientists and clinical associates, including physician assistants, nurse practitioners, radiologic technologists and paramedical professionals. Meeting attendees will receive the latest information in basic and clinical research; experience techniques and technologies utilized by interventional radiologists around the world; see the latest equipment used in IR; and discuss social, political, and economic issues important to the IR community.
Quantum Surgical will exhibit Epione®, a unique robotic-assisted technology that enables physicians to Plan, Target, Deliver and Confirm tumor ablation. Epione® aims to overcome current procedural challenges by expanding physician capabilities and helping to standardize minimally invasive cancer treatment through image-guided navigation, advanced robotic assistance, and tumor ablation confirmation. Meeting attendees will have several opportunities to learn more about Epione®:
- Prof. Thierry de Baere from Gustave Roussy Cancer Center, Prof. Boris Guiu and Dr. Maxime Ronot from Montpellier University Hospital will present their latest publication titled “Evaluation of the safety and performance of the EPIONE® robotic assistance for CT-guided percutaneous needle placement in the abdomen: pre-clinical study in pigs.”
- Additionally, the SIR Hands-on Workshop committee has invited Epione® to participate in the Interventional Oncology Ablation workshop. Hands-on workshops are guided by physician Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and industry experts allowing attendees to explore new technologies in a uniquely interactive learning format.
